Pastor Rick MacQueen

was born in Boston, MA and grew up in the New England state of Vermont. He was raised in a Christian home and was saved after hearing a Gospel message at church and talking with his mother about eternity. Pastor MacQueen felt called to full time ministry after attending a youth camp in Vermont.

In order to prepare for God’s call on his life, Pastor MacQueen studied at Heartland Baptist Bible College, where he met his wife, Grace, and graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies. After finishing his degree, he then moved to Binghamton, New York and served at the Tri-City Baptist Church as the Assistant Pastor while the church was just getting started and off the ground.  God then moved the MacQueens back to Oklahoma and allowed them to serve at Calvary Baptist Church in Weatherford. After a year of serving in Weatherford, God then brought the opportunity for Pastor MacQueen to serve as the church planting intern at Southwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, under Pastor Jason Gaddis, with the intention of Southwest Baptist starting a church with Pastor MacQueen as the point man. After three years of ministry, God led Southwest Baptist to send Pastor MacQueen and his family to Shawnee to pastor what would become Shawnee Baptist Church.

Pastor MacQueen serves the Lord with his wife, Grace, whom he married in 2008. They have two boys, Gideon and Walter, and two girls, Audrey and Natalie.
